Square One’s Mission is “To provide appropriate, cost effective care of the highest quality, to treat persons afflicted with the disease of alcoholism and/or other drug dependencies and to achieve and maintain sobriety.”
Square One’s Vision is “All who seek recovery will find it and the stigma of addiction will be overcome.”

Square One is an energetic, privately owned Washington state certified alcoholism/chemical dependency outpatient assessment and treatment facility.
In the early seventies, George Wolf was fortunate to be involved in the establishment of alcoholism and drug treatment in Washington state as we know it today and in 1979 George opened Square One in Issaquah, Washington. George’s goal was to provide affordable alcoholism treatment and quality of care for people from all walks of life. In 1981 George expanded his business to Redmond and in December 1993 he consolidated all of his business interests to the Redmond office with the plans to retire. George sold Square One in May 1994 to two of his employees, Gerrie and Don Thomas. Gerrie and Don are Chemical Dependency Professionals certified by Washington state Department of Health who worked for George since 1984. Gerrie is also a Relapse Prevention Counseling Specialist certified by Terence T. Gorski and his CENAPS® Corporation.
Gerrie and Don have managed Square One pretty much as a “mom and pop” treatment center, no big frills, just good honest alcohol/drug education, treatment and aftercare.

Square One’s programs are designed exclusively for the treatment of persons afflicted with the disease of alcoholism and/or other drug dependencies. The 12-Step philosophy is foundational to Square One’s programs. Patients undergo an individualized treatment program, which includes disease and recovery education as well as relapse prevention. Square One counselors are well-trained, experienced and empathetic certified professionals.
Square One treatment is licensed by the State of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services and is certified by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
